France has finally withdrawn its objection to the European Union (EU) designating the IRGC (Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps) as a terrorist organization.

🇪🇺 With this move, all 27 EU member states are now in support of the IRGC terror designation. Spain also withdrew its objection today.
🔹 What is the IRGC and why is it so controversial?
The IRGC (Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps) is a powerful military and security force of Iran.
According to allegations by Europe and Western countries, the IRGC:
Supports and trains various armed groups across the Middle East
Is involved in espionage and intimidation activities inside Europe
Plays a direct role in serious human rights violations
🔹 Why did France and Spain oppose it earlier?
Some EU countries had previously expressed concerns that:
Diplomatic relations with Iran could completely collapse
Nuclear negotiations would become even more complicated
