A drone launched by Hezbollah from Lebanon hit Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's Caesarea residence on October 19. Photos of the blast damage have been released.
Images of the blast were released on Tuesday (October 22). Earlier, the country's military censor board did not allow the publication of these issues.
The Times of Israel and other Israeli media outlets said they were able to publish images of the shattered windows on Tuesday.
A photo censored by the military shows the damage to Netanyahu's residence. The explosion shattered the glass of one of his bedroom windows. However, it could not enter his room through the window.
But shards of glass fell into the adjacent swimming pool and courtyard.
Meanwhile, Hezbollah officially claimed responsibility for the attack on Netanyahu's residence on Tuesday. Mohammad Afif, head of Hezbollah's media office, said this in a press conference.
Earlier, on October 19, Hezbollah launched a drone attack on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's residence in Caesarea, Israel. However, no one was injured in the attack and Netanyahu and his wife were not home at the time of the incident.
But the incident highlighted several failings in Israel's warning system. No warning sirens sounded when the drone entered Caesarea. According to the IDF's preliminary investigation, two drones were shot down after the third one disappeared from their radar.
Attack helicopters were deployed to destroy the drones, but failed to detect the third drone.
